Trump Calls Loved Ones of Attacked Guard Members to White House

Former President Trump stated on Sunday that he has invited the loved ones of a Guard member fatally shot last week to come to the presidential home.

He noted that he contacted her parents and they were “heartbroken”.

Specialist Beckstrom, 20, was fatally shot in a violent incident on Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s talked about a White House visit for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” Trump told the press. “And likewise with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Mourners gathered over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to remember Sarah.

Both they had been working with the state guard as part of Trump’s national effort to assist policing efforts in DC.

“She was the kind of student that educators hoped for. She behaved with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that inspired people around her,” Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s former high school, informed the Associated Press. “She was caring, compassionate and always ready to help others.”

Authorities have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with a charge of first-degree murder and charges of violent assault while armed.

The event led the Trump administration to pause asylum applications and temporarily stop providing visas to owners of Afghan passports.

Status of Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of the city, started his military career in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of his local high school, per the Associated Press.

He is still undergoing care and is “in a critical fight”, the state’s governor the governor stated on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

The state’s top lawyer Pam Bondi informed the program that she aimed to speak to Wolfe’s family.

Sarah, from Summersville, completed her education from her high school in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a MP with honor, per the state guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had bravery,” he told the crowd at the vigil. “Though her time ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
